ASSIGNMENT #3 BLUE HOUR

I really enjoyed creating these images. I chose to wait until I was visiting Boise over President’s Day weekend to capture them because the city of Boise is just so beautiful at night. The photo of Capital Street bridge is my favorite out of the series, mostly because of the very sudden burst of inspiration I got when passing it. I saw the glowing lights of the bridge in my peripheral as I was driving and just knew I wanted to create an image of it against the blue hue of the sky. The glow of the sun setting in the back was a nice surprise as well because to the naked eye it was very dark out. The wind was blowing so hard that night but I ran my self around Boise and froze my fingers off to create something beautiful. I really enjoyed getting out of my comfort zone of portrait photography and expanding my skills as a photographer.
